I am an experienced full-time teacher who can help students launch and or advance their creative process. I create 'personalized' programs of study for all levels of students. My approach to playing & teaching is dedicated to tone, articulation and intonation, with a strong emphasis on deconstructing melodies & harmonies, in standard & altered tunings. Additionally I've devoted many years to the study of Dadgad tuning as well as fingerstyle & slide guitar. If you're writing songs we can also enhance that process. I teach all levels & I've been successful with each of my student's interests.

If you're a beginning student, you'll need an instrument that is easy to play, & you will also want to make a commitment in order to learn:

How to play basic chord shapes.
Make chord changes.
Study songs & lessons specific to the guitar.
