Production Assembler- 1st shift 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

2nd shift 4:00 pm to 12:30 am

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Excellent opportunity for a dynamic person to join a cable manufacturing company as an Assembler in

Anaheim, CA. The successful candidate will manufacture cables, wire harnesses and other electro-

mechanical assemblies from component level parts.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to:

· Assemble electrical or electronic systems and support structures installing components, units, subassemblies, wiring, crimping, soldering, plugging stripping, routing, inspecting, and potting.

· Adjust, repair, or replace electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.

· Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and reports in order to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions.

· Understanding of the ISO 9001-2000 requirements

· Assign and explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers

· Set up and maintain a clean working environment at all times

· Understand and follow all safety policies, codes, and procedures

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: Expertise/Skills:

· Understand basic IPC-610, IPC-620 workmanship standards

· Familiar with hand crimping tools for standard terminal contacts (AMP, Tyco, Molex, D-sub…)

· Cutting and stripping cables

· Terminate cables

· Crimping terminals/contacts

· Soldering

· Assembling and Inspecting cable and wire harnesses.

· The ability to read blue prints.

· The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.

· The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.

· The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).

· The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).

· The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or GED

· Able to read and understand English

· Good communication skills

· Meet strict deadlines

· Bilingual Spanish/English (a plus)

· Understand IPC 620 Quality Standard

· Ability to use tape measure

· Follow detail instructions (verbal, visual and written)

· Understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents

· Must be able to operate cutters, wire strippers, crimpers, heat guns, solder irons, etc.

· Good attitude

· Able to sit 95% of the workday

· Must be detail orientated.

Must be eligible to work in the United States

Education / Experience:

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Experience in Manufacturing (2 years) as an assembler

Evaluation:

-Annual reviews

-Additional evaluations may be required based on performance

Language:

-Must be able to communicate in English /Spanish
