Dear All,

I graduated in 1988 from the then called Veterinary Sciences graduate program at your Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. My major professor was Dr Stephen Boyle.

I have had a successful career as a Discovery Research Scientist at Amgen, Inc in Thousand Oaks, California. I have volunteered over 8 years at the Ventura County Animal Services animal shelter, currently as a co-lead on the cat volunteer programs. I am the facilitator for the Community Cat Coalition serving Ventura County. As you can image I come in contact with veterinary personal involved in these areas. I have been asked to help advertise a couple of veterinary positions currently available here in Ventura County, CA. I can vouch they are all passionate organizations dedicated to the betterment of animal lives.

The first is for an associate veterinarian at Mercy Crusade Clinic. This clinic is a busy hub that allows pet owners to be responsible for their pets at reasonable rates. They are hoping to expand in the future. I interact with this facility with our TNR program as well as with my own pets.

There is a team in place including spay/neuter veterinarian, trained technicians, and volunteers. This shelter is hoping to expand into a new facility in the future. This position provides a place to make a huge impact.
