The Season

Our workshop is part of Joey Travolta’s Inclusion films and E&CO’s outreach program that teaches filmmaking to young adults with learning disabilities. Our staff has several years of professional filmmaking experience and serves as the principle crew members, with students working in support positions.

We are looking for actors and actresses. The roles vary:

1: Lead (Male) – 18yrs – 28yrs – would be required for full shoot.
2: Sister (Support – Female) – 20yrs – 28yrs – required for 1 – 2 days
3: Lead Love Interest (Support – Female) – 18yrs – 28yrs – required for 1 – 2 days
4: Mother (Support – Female) – 40yrs – 70yrs – required for 1 – 2 days

Each day is approximately 4 – 5 hours.

As we are a non-profit, we don’t have a budget but we are able to pay the Male lead $40 per day + credit and meals. There will be a small stipend + credit + meals for the supporting roles.

The film is a holiday film about a young man with a mild speech impediment who comes home for Christmas after getting fired from his job and dreads facing his family.

The film will be screened on Cox Communications over the holiday period.

Here is a link to our last film which also screened on Cox Communications. It is a ‘behind the scenes’ documentary which is followed by the film.
