Description
Provides administrative and technical expertise in coordinating the weekly Cancer Conference/Tumor Board to meet guidelines established by the client hospital and the American College of Surgeons, Commission on Cancer (CoC) for approved Cancer Programs. Performs duties associated with patient follow-up information and data entry into the Cancer Registry software system and assists in other Cancer Registry/Program activities. In addition to the routine responsibilities, this position serves as the onsite contact for Oncology N~Sync for the Cancer Registry and works collaboratively with the client's cancer team including physicians, nurses, ancillary staff and outside customers to maintain the ongoing Cancer Registry and Cancer Program activities.

Reporting:
This position is under the supervision of Oncology N~Sync's Cancer Registrar Manager who reports directly to the Cancer Center Director at the client hospital located in Riverside, California. All Cancer Registry services are out-sourced.

Job Requirements
Academic:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred: Completion of or enrolled in an NCRA-accredited program for an associate’s degree or certificate in Cancer Registry Management (CRM) or Cancer Information Management (CIM).

Professional Certification/License: Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) (preferred)
Experience: 1+ years of Cancer/Tumor Registrar experience or within a health care system

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:
• Ability to create, manage and enhance customer relationships to effectively interact with various levels of hospital personnel and outside customers.
• Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule, and meet deadlines.
• Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Audio/Visual and general office equipment.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Medical terminology, basic understanding of cancer-related diagnosis and medical record content.
