La Veta Surgical is a Multi-Specialty Surgical Center with 5 OR's and 1 GI Suite. We also have a 2nd site in Irvine, Ca where there are 2 OR's and 1 GI Room. We are a state-of-the-art center and are looking Administrative Assistant with a positive attitude, lots of energy and someone who is able to thrive in a fast paced environment are a must.

The Business Office Manager will provide support to the facility by performing specific or various business office functions as assigned. These functions are to include (but not limited to): Medical Records, Credentialing, Admissions/Intake, Accounts Payable, Billing, Collections, Insurance Verification, Transaction, Posting, Clinical Logs and other duties as assigned.

Accountabilities / ResponsibilitiesIs responsible for direct supervision of non-medical personnel, including orientation and evaluationIs responsible for human resource procedures for all Surgery Center staff.Ensures that administrative and accounting procedures are carried out timely and accurately.Responsible for office supplies and equipment.Responsible for petty cash and accounts receivable.Completes employee medical records and personnel records.Works accounts receivable as needed and follows up on all accounts, individually as well as accounts with insurance companies.Determines accounts to be placed for collections.Acts as liaison with insurance companiesResponsible for the timely and accurate completion of all financial statements for submission.Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of payroll and forward to corporate for processing.Coordinate the Business Office so that the operation is most efficient for all concerned.Works closely with Clinical Director so that the flow of the overall operation is most efficient, reporting all activities to the Administrator.Works closely with the Administrator to promote the utilization of the Surgery Center.Responsible for the accurate interpretation and implementation of the terms of contracts with all third party payers.Answers patient telephone calls as needed.Demonstrates competency in performing job task and in operating equipment on an annual basisDemonstrates appropriate awareness of age specific development needs the population served as it is related to the performance of departmental duties.Utilizes time effectivelyMaintains accounts payablePerforms other miscellaneous secretarial duties as needed.Performs all other duties assigned by supervisor.Qualifications
