Job Designation

The Senior Finance Analyst provides a range of expertise, while performing a variety of economic research and studies of rates of return, depreciation and investments. Generates forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, finance and other areas of business. Ensures the integrity of financial records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Job Core Responsibilities

* Supports Director of FP&A to collect and analyze data on business performance

* Supports budgeting/forecasting, variance analysis and articulation of financial results for the site

* Develops forecast assumptions and execution plans, working directly with the Director of FP&A to deploy operational resources to achieve desired targets

* Maintains weekly site metrics

* Analyzes results weekly / monthly to understand performance

* Links financial results to operational cause/effect.

* Supports a financial control environment consistent with the Meggitt Finance Policy, GAAP and/or IFRS

* Support for Site Program Management, Integrated Product Team financial support, and impairment testing

* Works closely with Site Cost Accounting

* Timely delivery of data inputs for data driven budgets and quarterly forecasts

* Data mining and report generation to support business decisions and forecasting

* Development and maintenance of financial estimation model

* Coordinates time-tables, forecast assumptions and analytic requirements with operational leaders

* Install efficient processes to deliver relevant, timely, accurate, actionable financial information

* Support Program Management in tracking actual and expected results against targets

* Development and maintenance of site cost targets and performance

* Deliver accurate, on time, insightful information

* Deliver financial plans, linked to process owners, that result in limited/understood variances to plan

* Deploy a proactive approach to identifying needs early and mobilizing solutions before asked

* Develop robust financial planning and analysis processes (repeatable, documented, standard work)

* Contribute to best practice process sharing

Job Specifications

Experience/Education Required:

* Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Management, Accounting, etc preferable

* 5 years Financial Planning and Analysis experience

* 5 years experience in manufacturing, supply chain, program management, internal audit, site finance management, or product costing

* Cost accounting proficiency

Attributes/Skills Required:

* Deploys a proactive approach to identifying needs early and mobilizing solutions before asked

* Leader in best practice sharing across functions

* Understanding of standard costing environment, deferred cost, impairment testing, discounted cash flow modeling, year to year margin analysis and business case presentation, and importantly partnering with operations as a key information provider.

* Effective leadership including tone from the top, resource coordination, goal/objective setting, hurdle removal

* SAP / data management

* Financial forecast modeling (income statement, cash flow, balance sheet)

* Good communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)

* Ability to build consensus across multiple site functions

* Ability to simplify and clarify complex and ambiguous problems

* Track record of delivering solutions to assigned tasks utilizing a proactive approach to problem
