The Financial Analyst will play a key role in assisting with the Monthly and Quarterly Financial Statement closes and related management reporting for STX Entertainment with an emphasis on the feature film line of business. The Financial Analyst will report to the Accounting Manager.


* Prepare Monthly/Quarterly Account Reconciliations

* Ensure the subledger modules are reconciled to the general ledger

* Prepare Journal Entries

* Assist with the preparation of legal entities' financial statements and management reporting on a monthly/quarterly basis

* Prepare audit and roll-forward schedules

* Prepare Treasury related activities, including: cash management reporting, sweep entries and production funding transfers

* Explain significant variances between monthly P&L results and budget/forecasts through financial analysis

* Research pronouncements to validate proper accounting GAAP and IFRS treatment

* Implement improvements and stream line existing processes for efficiency

* Ad hoc requests to support the Accounting & Finance functions


Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree

* CPA, or in progress to earn CPA

* 1-2 years of public/private experience in Accounting (Big 4 experience desired, mid-tier public accounting experience is acceptable)

* Theatrical Film Distribution and/or production accounting experience a plus

* Proficient understanding of ERP & Systems (SAP experience a plus)

* Excellent verbal & written skills

* Advance knowledge of Excel

* Considerable understanding of accounting principles and accounting functions

* Hands-on experience working with multiple companies and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
